“Unraveling the mysteries of shooting in Hi-Def.”
November 9, 2007; San Rafael, CA
Tuesday night, 11.6.07 there was a sold-out crowd at Rough House
at The San Francisco Film Centre in the presidio in San Francisco, Ca.
Initial offering of tickets to this event went to the local chapter of
The Directors Guild, (www.dga.org) with an additional flight to
Bay Area Women in Film & Television (www.bawift.org).
A savvy panel of filmmakers and technicians addressed the pre & post concerns
of managing a Hi-def project. Cost ramifications and band-aids for
unforeseen usages and a list of qualifiers to pose to clients before you
start filming.
From the local community, Leigh Blicher and Jim Rolin from Videofax
were on hand with veteran experience, coupled with up-to-the-minute solutions.
Real life recounts from local filmmakers Bob Zagone,
(“Read You Like a book”) and Michael Jacobs (“Audience of One”) and
sage advice from Gary Coates, an award winning colorist.
Materials from the event are available from the Propville Directory office.
This event was presented under the umbrella of the Propville Dog & Pony Show ®,
