“Making Music; Married to Media” at Bay Area Sound Studios (BASS) 2/27/08. San Rafael, CA.

On February 27, 2008, over 70 people gathered at the Bay Area Sound Studios in San Rafael to discuss
the various facets of Sound Design for Film Production with a panel of esteemed professionals:
Leslie Ann Jones of Skywalker Sound (Apocalypse Now, Zodiac, Requiem For a Dream),
John Neff (David Lynch),
Chris Forrest of Studio Guapo & Stephen Hart (Werner Herzog, Michel Gondry).
The audience, which ranged from students to industry professionals, participated in a lively discussion that ranged from budgets to mixing with
everything inbetween. \"Such a huge amount of information and experience was shared with us ...each panelist was extremely generous with the audience about their past experiences ...there was more that one \"breakthrough\" as a result.” said audience member Bonita Wahl, of SWA Imaging. The evening was presented by The Propville Directory as a one of their ongoing educational programs (‘Dog and Pony Shows™’).  The evening’s treats were provided by An Affair to Remember and A Party Center.  The event was covered by Roger Rose of CineSource for their Spring website and magazine launch.
